Professor PhD Dragoș Paul Aligica (CONFIRMED)
- Dragoș Paul Aligică is a KPMG professor of Governance at the University of Bucharest and a Senior Research Fellow within the F.A. Hayek Program for Advanced Studies in Philosophy, Politics and Economics – Mercatus Center, George Mason University, USA. He is also a member of the Centre for the Study of Governance and Society of the Department of Political Economy, King’s College London and of the Center for Governance and Markets, University of Pittsburg, where he co-manages the “Modus Vivendi, Polycentrism, and Institutional Diversity” project. He has authored and co-authored an impressive number of works on institutional analysis, political economy and political and social philosophy. His most representative books are: Institutional Diversity and Political Economy (Oxford University Press) and Public Entrepreneurship, Citizenship, and Self-Governance (Cambridge University Press). His Public Governance and the Classical Liberal Perspective (co-authored by P. Boettke and V. Tarko; Oxford University Press), represents an attempt to reconstruct the liberal governance theory in the context of the 21st century circumstances and challenges.
